About Lucas Abbott, MA, JD, Ph.D (candidate)

I am proud to come from one of the first families who sailed to America. We have been here so long that you will see our name on things like TV shows, a street adjacent to Times Square, starring next to Costello on comedy bits, the first American woman to ever win a gold medal in the Olympics, and on meal replacement formula. We also have a long history of protecting this country and the people within it.

My ancestors fought next to George Washington at Valley Forge, commanded frigates in 1812, fought and died on Little Round Top at Gettysburg, and commanded air craft carriers during WWII. No matter the generation, my family always had a desire to help. You can find my family in the cemeteries around Maryville, Alcoa, Townsend, and Cades Cove.

My family has been fighting for and defending the people of Blount County for hundreds of years and that is what motivates me to do the same. I love this place, I love the people, and it is my mission to make a difference like those who came before me. In addition to law, I am also a concert violinist, enjoy participating in church events, and enjoy lifting heavy things in strongman and Scottish festival games.

Experience

Before founding Shield Wall Legal, I worked for three different law firms/organizations doing juvenile criminal law, personal injury, and family law.

I have been blessed to have attended many incredible institutions such as Liberty University, The University of Tennessee – Chattanooga, and Yale University. I have studied in the areas of theology, exercise science, music, psychology, and law.
